So, we just had our first show of EID and it went very well! It always amazes me the months of preparation that goes into this performance and how fast they actually go! Even with all the stressful-ness of staging & sound & attire & serving people, seeing the peoples faces while we sang was priceless. I LOVE performing and to know that I am part of bringing joy to other people this season is anamazing feeling.
There was one point in the evening where we sang Christmas carols with the audience. Most people didn't sing with us but the few that did were singing loudly and their faces were lit with joy & excitement.
We have our last show Friday! I encourage you to come and be filled with the Spirit and joy that I experienced!

No More Weddings!
Normally I love weddings. Now, I think I might vomit if I hear another couple say "I DO." Ok, so in all actuality, I'm not that sick of them...maybe just a little.
The weeks of finding the perfect outfit to wear, the days of considering hair options, the hours of applying makeup, the pain we endure for wearing heels that look "super-cute" but end up causing us to crumble in pain half way thru the reception, the dancing (we are not at a strip club girls), the hokey-pokey (is that really what it's all about?), the awkward receiving lines, cake (which I don't even like, but eat anyway because they are so dang expensive), the panic of finding the perfect gift without breaking your wallet...WHY?????
The great thing these weddings did, was to remind me...."Man, I really love my husband & I am SOOOOO thankful for him. And man, does he look H-O-T in that suit!"
I am vetoing weddings until July...cuz that's whe D gets married. Hopefully by then, the wedding bitterness will have melted away. :)
